On Saturday May 7, at LocalHost in Northern Liberties, Bamboowifi will officially open the N3rd Street Network at an open forum as part of Philly Tech Week, welcoming free Wi-Fi to N3rd Street.
At the open forum, guests will join us for the launch, log onto the network, learn more about the network, ask questions, meet the creators, and have their picture taken with the Bamboowifi panda.
Bamboowifi is improving internet access in Philadelphia by providing “Free Neighborhood Wi-Fi.” We provide seamless Wi-Fi access to your entire neighborhood, so you can stay connected at home and on the go, without having to log in more than once. Free internet access is made possible through short video advertisements.
The N3rd Street Network is the first step in bringing Free Neighborhood Wi-Fi to all of Philadelphia, and was made possible through the help of multiple community supporters including the Penn Treaty Special Services District, the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association, Jarvus Innovations, and Bamboowifi.
Anyone with a Wi-Fi enabled device will be able to access the network free of charge. Guests will simply click on the “Bamboowifi” option in their Wi-Fi settings, watch a short video explaining the network, and then have full access to the internet. The event is free and open to the public, and will take place rain or shine.
